Secondary title: Understanding chemical conceptions in ninth grade of primary school
Secondary abstract: In school year 2011-2012, 562 students in ninth grade (aged 15 years) all over Slovenia attended national competition in chemistry. From the analysis of the test results, their chemistry knowledge at different Bloom’s categories was identified. In teaching chemistry models are used for visualizing the sub-microscopic world of particles, therefore in the introduction the application of different types of models (model sets and virtual models) are presented and their application discussed. In the central part of the diploma thesis and results are presented in detail and discussed from different point of view. For the conclusion the observations and evaluation of the results according to different chemistry topics are presented.
