Hidden language of symbols in art |
Secondary abstract: |
In an introduction, I highlighted the problem of dissertation: meaning, understanding and use of a symbol. In continuation, there is a brief explanation about concept of symbol and a review of understanding symbols throughout history. Following-up, I have identified a variety of concepts that are often confused with symbols: sign, attribute, allegory, personification.
For the topic of practical research I have chosen a crib, which at the same time I began to shape out of clay myself. I explored the historical development of cribs around the world and in our setting, further on I described what symbolic meanings are behind the motifs of the crib.
In teaching, I made four lessons in the third year of high school in Ljubljana, where students produce a CD cover of a band. It contained the symbol. |

V uvodu sem poljudno osvetlila problem diplomske naloge: pomen, razumevanje in rabo simbola. Sledi kratka razlaga pojmovanj simbola ter pregled razumevanja simbola skozi zgodovino. V nadaljevanju sem opredelila različne pojme, ki so pogosto zamenjani s samimi simboli: znak, atribut, alegorija, personifikacija.
Za tematiko praktičnega raziskovanja sem si izbrala jaslice, ki sem jih istočasno začela oblikovati v glini tudi sama. Raziskala sem zgodovinski razvoj jaslic po svetu in pri nas ter opisala, kateri simbolni pomeni se skrivajo v motiviki jaslic.
V pedagoškem delu sem izvedla štiri šolske ure v tretjem letniku srednje šole v Ljubljani, kjer so dijaki izdelali CD ovitek glasbene skupine. Le-ta je vseboval simbol. |
