Secondary abstract: s In thesis the problem of disposal of untreated municipal solid waste on the landfield Barje in Osrednjeslovenska region over last ten years is being discussed. Represented european environmental legislation shows which goals in terms of waste management Slovenia as an EU member state has to fulfill. In thesis three mechanical-biological treatment (MBT) technologies are being represented. On the basis of innovative and environmental advantages I have chosen MBT tehnology which in my opinion is the most suitable for Osrednjeslovenska region. Two processing capacities for MBT plant are being calculated on the basis of collected amount of residual municipal waste, demographfic data and on the basis of two different levels of capturing seperately collected fractions of municipal solid waste (MSW) in region in the last few years. On the basis of recently figured composition of MSW and recently collected amounts of residual MSW in Osrednjeslovenska region, mass output shares produced in MBT process are being showed for each of those MBT tehnologies. For each of MBT technology operational costs, recent and new upcoming price for treatment of household waste with MBT technology called »Vision 2020« in the region are being represented.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi obravnavam problematiko odlaganja neobdelanih komunalnih odpadkov na odlagališču Barje in v osrednjeslovenski regiji v zadnjem desetletnem obdobju. Iz predstavljene okoljske zakonodaje Evropske unije, je razvidno, kateri so tisti cilji, ki jih je Slovenija kot drţava članica, dolţna izpolniti na področju ravnanja z odpadki. V diplomski nalogi predstavljam tri tehnologije mehansko - biološke obdelave (MBO). Na podlagi inovativnosti in okoljskih prednosti izberem tehnologijo MBO, ki je najbolj primerna za osrednjeslovensko regijo. Iz zbranih količin preostanka mešanih komunalnih odpadkov (PMKO) v zadnjih letih, demografskih kazalcev in dveh različnih stopenj zajema ločeno zbranih frakcij komunalnih odpadkov v regiji, podajam dve kapaciteti obrata za mehansko– biološko obdelavo. Hkrati za vsako od tehnologij MBO prikaţem masne deleţe izhodnih produktov, ki so nastali v postopku MBO iz nedavno ugotovljene sestave in trenutnih količin PMKO v osrednjeslovenski regiji. Za vsako od treh tehnologij so predstavljeni tudi obratovalni stroški ter sedanja in nova cena ravnanja z odpadki za gospodinjstva v regiji ob uvedbi tehnologije za MBO imenovane »Vizija 2020«.
