Usage of exercises for better pronunciation in second age group |
Secondary abstract: |
The thesis entitled Usage of exercises for better pronunciation in the second age group aims to underline the role of professional staff in kindergartens in detecting speech disorders and helping with appropriate pronunciation exercises. Positive results regarding speech development and correct pronunciation can be achieved through adequate planning and implementation of activities.
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with speech development and the factors influencing it, various speech disorders, how sounds are produced, what is logopaedics and which exercises are appropriate for the correction of speech disorders. The thesis present the exercises used for motor development of speech organs, correction of incorrect production of sounds, exercises focusing on rhythm, breathing exercises, didactic games, methods of conversation, games influencing phonological awareness, exercises involving movement, listening and speech, and games which aim to distinguish between voiced and voiceless sounds
The empirical part provides research results and their interpretation relating to self-evaluation of the professional staff about their expertise, how and how often they conduct exercises and how they monitor the progress of the speech of the children.
If they were provided with additional training, professional staff could introduce more language methods into the groups. Children would enhance their pronunciation through short and amusing games, nursery rhymes and poems focusing on language, which would result in easier transition to writing and increase their self-confidence in expressing themselves. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
V empiričnem delu bom predstavila rezultate raziskave in njihovo interpretacijo o samoocenjevanju strokovnosti strokovnih delavcev, kako in na kakšen način uporabljajo vaje, kako pogosto jih izvajajo in kako preverjajo govorni napredek otrok.
