Fine arts gift is an inborn quality yet the potential can easily be wasted if not developed. The development of a child’s gift is affected by his/her surroundings and conditions, adapted to an individual’s needs. Among the individual capabilities of fine arts gifted student our special attention goes to the ones which an individual uses to assimilate his/her experience and reactions to it, to visual memory, manual skills and aesthetic intelligence. They all enable us to determine aesthetic value shown through originality and creativity. In addition, student's motivation must be considered as well. The care of fine arts gifted students, also treated as students with special needs, is one of the most important tasks for a teacher who must plan and carry out an efficient teaching process. The purpose of the survey was to look into efficient fine arts teaching concepts for gifted students and to establish the so far teaching experience as well as the teachers’ ability to work with fine arts gifted students at Slovene primary schools. A quantitative research was carried out for this purpose.
The basic aim of this MA work has been to look into an art teacher's efficiency. This includes the use of various class interactions, general and specific teaching methods and inclusion of a student's high independence, responsibility and motivation level to gain theoretical knowledge. It also encompasses the development of using various art materials and of creative motif depiction. Besides the quantitative research, the purpose of which was to portray the current situation, we have also done an action research in order to raise teachers’ professional ability for efficient teaching strategies used with fine arts gifted students. The guidelines for teachers’ professional education as well as planning and realizing a successful teaching process for work with fine arts gifted students have also been formed. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
