Secondary title: Modeling of the Mlinščica Hydraulic System
Secondary abstract: In the following diploma a reach of Mlinščica creek, predominantly an energetic channel which streams from the Kamniška Bistrica into the Sava river through villages and towns of Ihan, Videm, Dol, Kleče and Dolsko is discussed. Mlinščica creek (in translation: Millcourse, Millrace) was built in the early 20th century, its function was the conduction of water to the mill wheels of the local saws and mills. Nowdays, three small hydroelectric power plants are situated at its course. Becauce of the damage done by floods its riverbed was repaired for several times which resulted also in the reduction of the primary installed discharge of 3.8 m3/s by 25% to 30%. The company VGP Hidrotehnik elaborated in 1994 a project, which is describing the necessary riverbed maintenance works. This project also includes three geodetic points for each of the 93 cross sections of the discussed reach of the creek, from its beginning (km 11.657) to km 4.450. These points were the base for design of a mathematical model of the water channel, which was used for the preliminary flow calcultions. They showed that the Mlinščica creek can not conduct the discharge of 3.8 m3/s without owerflowing its banks. As a resut of the task a new model of Mlinščica was created, where the owerflooded banks were raised as necessary to conduct the nominal 3.8 m3/s flow with a 15 cm safety height. We have estimated that the left bank of Mlinščica creek needs an embankment raise in the length of 1200 m and the right bank in the length of 2070 m. The suggested embankments are 2 m wide at the top and their banks have an inclination of 1:1.5.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi je obravnavan odsek Mlinščice, pretežno energetskega kanala, ki teče od Kamniške Bistrice skozi naselja Ihan, Videm, Dol, Kleče in Dolsko do Save.
