Creating with natural materials from 3- to 6-year olds |
Secondary abstract: |
In the thesis I am presenting a way of awareness and appreciation of nature, which I further on try to bring closer to children through a process of creating with natural resources. I am concentrating on the natural environment, and awareness of nature and its natural resources.
Together with children we concentrated on creativity process. Although thematic focus was being primarily technical, we covered also other areas within curriculum activities. Throughout the whole research we were looking for different sources of information; one of them was also Library Kamnik. Children were included into active learning, while involved in literature search.
Children found selected topic interested, as they were pleased to participate in all activities. They emphasized with the creativity process, and exploring the natural environment and materials, it offers.
After the creativity process was finished, we prepared presentation of products and enhanced the natural corner. The presentation was prepared by the children alone, and they were very proud on their products and work they have accomplished. The results indicate that children were developing their creativity and obtain samples of proper behaviour on how to deal with the nature and its environment. They did not just learn that the nature has a lot to offer but also that we need to respect it, especially due its natural resources. |

V diplomskem delu predstavljam način zavedanja in spoštovanja narave, kar poskušam otrokom približati skozi proces ustvarjanja z naravnimi materiali. Osredotočim se na naravno okolje ter na zavedanje narave in naravnega materiala, ki nam ga ponuja.
Z otroki smo se osredotočili na ustvarjanje, katerega tematski poudarek je bil tehnični, vendar so bila zajeta tudi ostala področja dejavnosti kurikuluma. Pri raziskovanju problema smo iskali različne vire informacij; eden izmed njih je bila Matična knjižnica Kamnik. Otroci so se vključili v iskanje literature, ob tem pa so bili vključeni v aktivno učenje.
Otroke je izbrana tema zanimala, saj so z veseljem sodelovali pri izvedbi dejavnosti ter se vživeli v sam proces ustvarjanja in raziskovanje naravnega okolja in materialov, ki nam jih ponuja narava.
Po končani dejavnosti ustvarjanja smo pripravili predstavitev izdelkov in obogatitev naravnega kotička. Otroci so vse pripravili sami ter bili na svoje izdelke in delo zelo ponosni. Iz rezultatov lahko sklepam, da so otroci razvijali svojo ustvarjalnost in pridobili vzorce pravilnega ravnanja z naravo in okoljem, spoznali, da nam ponuja veliko naravnega materiala obenem pa tudi to, da jo moramo zaradi vseh teh bogastev spoštovati. |
