Secondary title: Peer relationships of adolescents in housing groups
Secondary abstract: The thesis displays and analyzes peer relationships of adolescents living in two different housing groups and focuses on how they experience friendship within and outside of the group. The theoretical part describes the period of adolescence, its characteristics, developmental stages and developmental tasks that young people face while growing up. In this development phase, an important element is to create a peer link since peers play an important role in the acquisition of various skills and abilities that an adult needs later on to overcome the difficulties of life. They learn how to cooperate, express their emotions, resolve conflicts and at the same time, establish a relationship with the opposite sex. The best outcome of peer relationships is friendship – a roller coaster for building relationships. In addition, the thesis focuses on a housing group to describe the life of young people living in it and present the role of educators. The empirical part examines the opinion of the members of two groups, their experiences and assessment of relationships among peers and the impact of living in a housing group on their friendships. We established that peer relationships among young people in housing groups are different from those of the rest of their peers which is a result of living in a housing group, certain rules and teaching lessons. Nevertheless, they have found friends both within and outside of the group. However, staying in touch with their peers and friends from home is difficult because they are living in a housing group.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomskem delu prikažem vrstniške odnose mladostnikov, ki živijo v dveh različnih stanovanjskih skupinah, in se osredotočim na njihovo doživljanje prijateljstva znotraj in zunaj skupine. V empiričnem delu sem prek dveh fokusnih skupin raziskovala mnenja, doživljanja in ocene odnosov mladih z vrstniki in vpliv bivanja stanovanjske skupine na njihova prijateljstva.
