Secondary title: Adjustment of environment for people with visual impairment
Secondary abstract: Adjustment of environment in which individuals with visual impairment live is the main theme of the thesis. The initial part of this work explains why environment needs to be adjusted and illustrates positive effects of appropriate adjustments. The adjustments are made individually, depending on the functional vision and its use of each person. The next chapter gives us insight into the elements that can be adjusted. Both appropriate and inadequate illumination is explained in detail. The types of house light, divided to natural and artificial light, are also given. Use of colours and contrasts is welcome in adjusting the environment and therefore comprehensively described in the thesis as well as advice for their use is provided. Adjustments, appropriate for the visually impaired are labels, which can be tactile or written in specific contrast, the appropriate organization of the environment and size. All mentioned elements are described and related to eye diseases, which are the most common causes of blindness and low vision and are put together in a table at the end of the thesis.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomsko delo obravnava prilagajanje prostorov, v katerih živijo in delajo osebe s slepoto in slabovidnostjo.
