Secondary title: Cooperative learning in working with students with learning disabilities
Secondary abstract: The thesis includes knowledge about cooperative learning, which is in theory and practice often recommended as an effective method of working with pupils with learning difficulties, after their integration into regular elementary classes. It presents the basic characteristics of students with learning difficulties, basic principles of cooperative learning and descriptions of structures within the emerging methods. It combines the results of both foreign and domestic studies of the method effects on students in three development areas: the acquisition of knowledge, social development and emotional-motivational processes. The effectiveness of the method for the selected population justifies linking research findings to the characteristics of students with learning difficulties, and possibilities that are offered by the structures within the methods of cooperative learning. It also includes advice for the adaptation and practical implications for the use of the method in class that includes students with various learning disabilities.
