Working in multi-grade classroom in elementary school for special needs children with mild disabilities |
Secondary abstract: |
In the thesis the problem of multigrade classroom in elementary school for special needs children with mild disabilities is discussed. As a consequence of low number of students included in such schools these classrooms are common in Slovenia. We are interested in answering following questions: how may special education teacher effectively prepare himself to work in multigrade classroom; which information is needed; how to deal with planning and organizing his own work. In the thesis we define the answers of different authors on stated questions and try to implement conclusions that may help the special educator to effectively prepare himself for teaching.
By brief review of literature it is concluded that strategies of planning as well as strategies of work organization in multigrade classroom in elementary school for special needs children with mild disabilities does not differ from regular primary school despite the different work. In final part findings are pointed out and questions that may be researched in future are written. The key finding of the thesis is that there is as many strategies and methods of work in multigrade classroom as there is teachers. The simplest guideline for teacher is to carefully plan his work, to be flexible when teaching and to consider how every pupil in his class will reach optimal results. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
V diplomskem delu obravnavamo problematiko kombiniranih oddelkov v prilagojenem programu.
