Secondary title: A calculation of heat consumption for heating of typical single family homes built from 1920 to 2010
Secondary abstract: In my diploma I made a comparative study of heat consumption of heating of typical single family homes built from 1920 until today. In the introductory part I present all the legislation covering the domain of thermal protection and efficient energy use in buildings to this date. I introduce the basic and most important articles (of the applicable legislation and the one that is not applicable anymore), attempt to compare them to each other and determine the main differences between them. A short presentation of the software I used to analyse the buildings follows. In the main part of the diploma I present the analysis of nine buildings built from 1920 to today. I analyse buildings that were built approximately ten years apart in this period of time. The analysis of all of the buildings are based on the calculation of the heat needed for heating considering transmission and ventilation heat loss as well as solar and other internal gains. I present reasons for gains or losses on each analysed building. I also gave short opinions on how the efficient energy use could be increased in each building. In the closing part I make a short presentation of all the buildings from the analysis and a mutual comparison of the key data (coefficient of specific transmission losses, annual amount of energy for heating).

Abstract (ePrints): V okviru svoje diplomske naloge sem izdelal primerjalno študijo porabe toplote za ogrevanje tipičnih enodružinskih stavb grajenih od leta 1920 do danes. V nadaljevanju sledi kratka predstavitev računalniških programov s katerimi sem izvedel analizo objektov.
