Secondary title: Testing of membrane module for ultrafiltration
Secondary abstract: The thesis describes the test of the ultrafiltration membrane module, manufactured by Litree, China. During the test, the behavior of the module as well as the ultrafiltration membrane was observed . The module is suitable for conducting small scale tests, i. e. for laboratory use. Raw water which was filtered through the module was surface water of the Gradaščica stream. In the first part of the thesis, membrane technology and processes are described, specifically ultrafiltration as one of the membrane technology possibilities for the water treatment. The laws and regulations relating to drinking water are also mentioned. In the second part, a practical test is described. 21 cycles of measurements were performed and, at the end of the 7th and 14th cycle, the chemically enhanced backwash. In between the cycles hydraulic backwashes were preformed. Flow, inlet and outlet pressure were measured. From the measured data, we calculated the trans membrane pressure (TMP), flux and permeability of the membrane. In the raw water and the filtrate temperature, pH, turbidity, total suspended solids and particle size were measured.

Abstract (ePrints): Namen naloge je bilo testiranje membranskega modula za ultrafiltracijo proizvajalca Litree, Kitajska. Merili smo pretok, vstopni in izstopni tlak. Iz izmerjenih podatkov smo izračunali membranski tlak (TMP), fluks in prepustnost membrane. Pri surovi vodi in filtratu smo merili temperaturo, pH, motnost, skupne suspendirane snovi in velikost delcev.
