Seismic performance assessment of masonry house in Grosuplje |
Secondary abstract: |
This graduation thesis focuses on a classical-style masonry one-family house in Grosuplje, which was constructed in 1999. In the first part we address three failures mechanisms of the wall: flexural failure, sliding shear failure and shear failure due to formation of diagonal cracks. In the case of particular wall we presented calculation of resistance based on all three failure mechanisms. Then we determined the mass of the structure with consideration of mass of the floor, individual walls and of the roof. Seismic forces were determined based on the design acceleration spectra by utilizing the lateral force method. In the SAP 2000 v14 software we determined how much of the seismic loading is redistributed on a particular wall, which depends on the stiffness of the structural elements. In the end we checked the damage of the individual walls due to the design earthquake, respectively, in direction x and direction y, and the resistance of the building as a unit. The results showed that the building cannot resists the design earthquake in the direction x. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
V prvem delu obravnavamo tri možne porušitve zidu, ki določajo nosilnost posameznega elementa: upogibno porušitev, strižno porušitev z zdrsom in strižno porušitev z nastankom diagonalnih razpok. Vse tri porušitve smo predstavili na konkretnem zidu. Nato smo določili mase stropa, posameznih zidov in strehe, ter izračunali celotno maso konstrukcije. |
