Secondary title: Legislation and quantity of construction waste in Slovenia and abroad
Secondary abstract: Construction is activity whose by-products are large amounts of waste, called construction waste. In developed countries, construction waste represents about a quarter of all waste. Such amount of waste is mainly due to the size of products and diversity of types of waste that belong to a group of construction waste. In recent years there has been very extended thinking on environmental protection, which has prompted the development of legislation governing waste, more frequent and stronger but also control over waste management. The paper presents some of the countries and their legislative arrangements for the management of construction waste, as well as the results of the implementation of regulations. The Diploma thesis includes a practical example of extension to nursery school in Križe, in which is presented how construction waste should be handled. Finally, it also presents some propositions on how to make it possible to improve the management of construction waste in Slovenia.
