Secondary title: Geotechnical design of reinforced concrete retaining wall
Secondary abstract: The present thesis includes the entire approach of a geotechnical analysis and the whole process of designing a reinforced concrete retaining wall in accordance with Evrokod standards. It is based on a practical case of constructing a reinforced concrete wall for the needs of a residential building. A field research was carried out to assess the geological characteristics of the flysch and other rock samples, all the material taken was later on analyzed in a laboratory research. Geo-mechanical characteristics were analyzed and defined by two programs: RocLab and Slide. Based on calculated data and in accordance with Evrokod 7 standard we revealed influences on construction and consequently also the marginal state of usability (MSU) and the marginal state of capacity (MSC). With those numbers we set the dimensions of the reinforced concrete wall. Based on selected dimensions, capacities and in accordance to Evrokod 2 standards, we designed a concrete retaining wall. Thesis includes geological profiles of cuts and a picture of the iron network in the concrete wall.

Abstract (ePrints): V pričujočem diplomskem delu je predstavljena geotehnična analiza in dimenzioniranje armiranobetonskega podpornega in opornega zidu v skladu z Evrokod standardi. Diplomsko delo prikazuje praktični primer izgradnje armiranobetonskega zidu za potrebe gradnje stanovanjskega objekta. V okviru terenskih raziskav smo na izvedenem vkopu ocenili geološko-geomehanske karakteristike flišne hribine ter odvzeli vzorce kamnin za laboratorijske raziskave. Geomehanske karakteristike hribine smo določili in analizirali s programoma RocLab in Slide. Na osnovi podatkov smo izračunali vplive na konstrukcijo in skladno s standardom Evrokod 7 izvedli potrebne kontrole mejnega stanja nosilnosti in mejnega stanja uporabnosti. S tem smo določili ustrezne dimenzije armiranobetonskega zidu. Na podlagi izbranih dimenzij in obremenitev smo po Evrokodu 2 izvedli dimenzioniranje armiranobetonskega podpornega in opornega zidu. V diplomskem delu so prikazani geološki profili vkopa in prikaz ter izpis armature v armiranobetonskem zidu.
