Secondary title: Large finger joints of glulam load-bearing elements in timber structures
Secondary abstract: In the graduation thesis are presented large finger joints. Large finger joints are glued timber joints, used for connecting wooden elements, usually glulam beams. Frequently this kind of joints connect corners of three – hinged frames, used for building prefabricated timber structures with spans up to 40 m. In comparison with mechanical joints, glued joints are cheaper and they have excellent load – carrying capacity, but poor ductility. I have installed large finger joints in the glulam frame structure, that is figment of my imagination, used for sports activities. In the graduation thesis is also presented design of large finger joints according to current standards Eurocode and according to old DIN standards, with the purpose of comparing the design procedures. I have made a tool in Microsoft Excel for calculating load – carrying capacity of direct and insert type of large finger joints in frame corners and large finger joints at straight beams of constant height. The tool was made with Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications program, which is a development tool build in Microsoft Excel. At the end of the graduation thesis there are examples and a research about which parameters affect load – carrying capacity of large finger joints.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi so predstavljeni polni zobati spoji. To so lepljeni leseni spoji, ki povezujejo lesene elemente, običajno iz lepljenega lameliranega lesa. Pogosto tovrstni spoji spajajo vozlišča tročlenskih okvirnih konstrukcij, ki se uporabljajo pri leseni montažni gradnji in imajo razpone do 40 m. V primerjavi z mehanskimi spoji so lepljeni spoji cenejši, imajo odlično nosilnost, a slabšo duktilnost. Zobate spoje v diplomski nalogi sem obravnaval na okvirni konstrukciji, ki je plod moje domišljije, uporabljala pa naj bi se za športne namene. V diplomski nalogi je predstavljeno tudi dimenzioniranje polnih zobatih spojev po trenutno veljavnih standardih Evrokod in starih DIN standardih, z namenom primerjave postopkov. Za primere enojnega in dvojnega polnega zobatega spoja v vozliščih okvirnih konstrukcij in polnega zobatega spoja na ravnih nosilcih konstantne višine je narejen pripomoček za račun nosilnosti spojev v programu Excel. Za izdelavo pripomočka sem uporabljal program Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, ki je programski jezik vgrajen v Microsoft Excel. Na koncu diplomske naloge so za vse primere spojev dodani računski primeri in študije vplivov na nosilnost spojev. Krištof, I. 2012.
