Secondary title: Understanding of work, heat, and energy from the national assessment of knowledge of physics' point of view
Secondary abstract: In the thesis we first summarize the common characteristics of knowledge in the field of work, energy and heat, which show the analysis of the results examination tests for the years 2007, 2008 and 2012 carried out by the Subject board of Physics. As the main part of the thesis we present detailed analysis of the results of two tests in the field of work, energy and heat, which were solved by pupils at the National assessment of knowledge of physics in 2012. Detailed analysis of the results of two selected tests is done by sorting incorrect answers of some hundred pupils into classes of typical incorrect answers. From the frequency of answers in individual classes we conclude why students didn't answer correctly to individual questions. We came up with some new findings and confirmed some pupils problems that teachers often mention. Among other things typical incorrect answers show that students do not differ between verbs to melt and to smelt and between concepts of heat and temperature . It appears also that they are familiar with various forms of energy, which the observed object possesses, but they can not determine on a specific case, which form of energy the observed object has. Likewise, we found out that students have difficulties in understanding the physical units.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi najprej povzamemo skupne značilnosti znanja s področja dela, energije in toplote, ki jih kažejo analize rezultatov preverjanja znanja v letih 2007, 2008 in 2012, ki jih je opravila predmetna komisija za fiziko. Kot glavni del diplomske naloge predstavimo podrobno analizo rezultatov dveh nalog s področja dela, energije in toplote, ki so ju učenci reševali na nacionalnem preverjanju znanja fizike leta 2012. Podrobno analizo rezultatov reševanja dveh izbranih nalog naredimo tako, da nepravilne odgovore nekaj sto učencev razvrstimo v razrede tipičnih nepravilnih odgovorov. Iz pogostosti odgovorov v posameznih razredih sklepamo o razlogih, zakaj učenci na posamezna vprašanja ne odgovorijo pravilno. Prišli smo do nekaterih novih ugotovitev in potrdili nekaj težav učencev, ki jih učitelji pogosto omenjajo. Med drugim je iz tipičnih nepravilnih odgovorov razvidno, da učenci ne razlikujejo med glagoloma topiti in taliti ter med pojmoma toplota in temperatura. Izkaže se tudi, da poznajo različne oblike energije, ki jih ima lahko opazovano telo, a jih na konkretnem primeru večina ne zna določiti, katero obliko energije ima opazovano telo. Ravno tako ugotavljamo, da imajo učenci težave z razumevanjem fizikalnih enot.
