Diploma thesis Comparative analysis of King Matjaž in slovenian and hungarian literature and his popularisation beyond literature consists of several chapters.
In the initial chapters I present characteristics of literary folklore and King Matjaž in slovenian and hungarian folk tradition and literature. The latter is theoretical starting point for understanding the fundamental chapter of the first part of diploma thesis, namely the comparison of King Matjaž motifs in slovenian and hungarian folk tradition and literature.
The following chapters focus on the frequency of the King Matjaž motif in the curriculum for the slovenian language and its presence in readers, textbooks and workbooks from 1st to 9th grade.
The last chaper is devoted to popularization and canonization of King Matjaž motifs beyond literature. It presents motif of King Matjaž in art, naming institutions, societies, events, projects and locations after him and other denominations that do not belong in these categories. |
