The purpose of the thesis was to identify the already existing programme of activities for pre-school children offered by Centre for School and Outdoor Education Soča and to find possible upgrade for it. By studying overall organization of work of CSOE Soča and by observing the programs of other Slovenian centres alike, I tried to identify relevant contents that would benefit the primary organization of CSOE Soča in order to make it suitable for preschool children. By actively participating in one of the Slovenian CSOE – CSOE Medved, I got to know how activities for preschool children are held and also gained knowledge of mutual cooperation between CSOE and kindergarten as well as between teachers and educators.
Through my own research and interviews I examined the situation in the CSOE Soča and described already existing programs and most common learning contents. With the principal Tomaž Kragelj, I drew up proposals for the implementation of the programs for pre-school children in the CSOE Soča.
Throughout research I found out that many of Slovenian Centres for School and Outdoor Education have very well formulated programs for preschool children. I tried to encourage CSOE Soča Tolmin in doing the same. However, the principal believes that due to spatial problems the realization of the program is not yet possible. Rearrangement of all the rooms and sanitary facilities should take place in order to fit preschool children needs.
