Abstract

V empiričnem delu smo analizirali tri sklope anket, in sicer odgovore 510 učencev od 2. do 5. razreda, 42 učiteljev razrednega pouka in s 33 mentorjev gasilske mladine.

Secondary title: INTEGRATING FIREFIGHTING SOCIETIES OF FIRE FIGHTING ASSOCIATION OF DRAVSKA VALLEY IN THE CONTEXT OF CLASS LEVEL TEACHING
Secondary abstract: One of the main goals in firefighting is integration of young people into the fire fighting agency. Primary school can help a lot with it. The purpose of my diploma paper was to find out if there is cooperation and integration between volunteer firemen societies (PGD) within the Fire Fighting Association of Drava Valley and the primary schools in this area. History of young firefighter society, the organisation of firefighting in Slovenia, the ways of cooperation between the volunteer firemen society and primary schools are presented in the theoretical part of my diploma paper. I also thoroughly examined the syllabuses for the first period of primary school education and checked where the cooperation with volunteer firemen societies could be possible. Three sets of surveys were analysed in the empirical part, namely with 510 students from the second to the fifth grade, 42 teachers in the first period in the primary school education and 33 mentors of young firefighter society. I wanted to find out what their cooperation is like, when they cooperate and how they could improve their mutual cooperation, how the teachers and mentors can motivate children for firefighting and if the volunteer firemen societies and primary schools are even interested in mutual cooperation. I was also interested in the fact if the students are the members of the volunteer firemen society and if they want more cooperation between the primary school and the volunteer firemen society. I found out that primary schools and volunteer firemen societies sometimes cooperate with each other, mostly referring to school evacuation and the presentation of firemen at school. Mutual cooperation could be improved with fire fighting interest activity at school. Students are mostly motivated by colouring books referring to fire fighting at primary schools and young fire-fighter’s mentors use fire fighting competitions to motivate young people. Teachers mostly do not want to cooperate, which is not the case with mentors for fire-fighter’s youth, where all asked mentors want more cooperation between the primary school and volunteer firemen societies. Most children are not members of volunteer firemen societies, and are also not included in any school fire fighting activity, and do not want wider cooperation between primary school and volunteer firemen societies. Finally I made few suggestions for the cooperation between the volunteer firemen societies and primary school.
