Secondary abstract: |
The graduation thesis deals with the case study of the computer science in the primary school from the perspective of cross-curricular integration. Teaching the computer science as an elective course offers many options for two-sided integration. Therefore, our goal was to establish the teachers' and pupils' experience of cross-curricular integration, on which occasions it is carried out, how pupils accept different forms of teaching, and how is that reflected in their motivation. We also paid attention to the advantages and problems of this kind of work as well as to solving the problems. We were also interested in the teamwork among the teachers and in their opinion about the inclusion of the computer science in the cross-curricular integration.
The two research methods used in the thesis are questionnaire for pupils and interview for teachers. The collected data indicates that the computer science is successfully included in the cross-curricular integration, for which a good teamwork and planning is needed. With the use of computer and the knowledge of the computer science, pupils' motivation for work is increasing. |
