Abstract

Spremenljivke anketnega vprašalnika in matematičnega testa smo vnesli v Microsoft Excel. Nato smo podatke obdelali s programom SPSS.

Secondary title: One-minute healthy break in the second triad of primary school
Secondary abstract: The main object of the study in this thesis is one – minute healthy break. The topics that were dealt with are: – the children’s opinion about one – minute healthy break that was performed in their class, – children’s knowledge about one – minute healthy breaks, – workload and fatigue during learning process, – the effect of one – minute healthy break on the learning process and – differences between variables according to sex and grade. In this study, the quantitative research approach and descriptive and causal non-experimental method of educational research were used. The research included pupils of the second triad of some of the elementary schools in Lower Carniola. The variables of the questionnaire and the maths test were entered into Microsoft Excel. Then the data were analysed using the program SPSS. The following statistical methods were used for the analysis: frequency and percentage distribution, Pearson Chi-Square, Likelihood Ratio (when the conditions for the use of χ2 test of independence were not fulfilled), T-test and analysis of variance (Oneway). The results have shown that the majority of children do not experience one – minute healthy breaks in school, even though they need would benefit from it considering the workload and fatigue they feel during the learning process. The pupils were more successful at taking a maths test after they had had a one – minute healthy break. The results have shown that teachers should regularly include one – minute healthy breaks in their lessons, which could also be a part of the curriculum.
