Abstract

Teoretična izhodišča. Rak je redka bolezen otrok in mladostnikov. Ko se le ta pojavi pri otroku, je vedno navzoč velik strah pred izidom in smrtjo. Medicinske sestre so pomemben element kakovostnega izvajanja onkološke pediatrične zdravstvene nege. Njihova vloga je pomembna v vseh fazah: v preventivnih ukrepih, bolnišničnem zdravljenju, prepoznavanju simptomov recidiva po končanem zdravljenju, ter pri izvajanju zdravstvene vzgoje. Metodologija raziskovanja. V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela. Raziskava je temeljila na kvalitativni metodologiji, izvedena je bila študija primera, kjer smo uporabili tehniko intervjuja, ki je vsebovala vprašanja odprtega tipa. Rezultati. Ugotovili smo, da 14 osnovnih življenjskih aktivnosti Virginije Henderson zagotavlja kakovostno in kontinuirano zdravstveno nego. Z izpostavljenimi negovalnimi diagnozami smo ugotovili, da zaradi rakavega obolenja otrok slabše izvaja vsakodnevne aktivnosti, ter da je v času procesa zdravljenja prisoten strah. Sklep. Izvajanje kakovostne zdravstvene nege je ključnega pomena pri pacientu obolelim z rakom. Vso pozornost onkološke zdravstvene nege je potrebno usmeriti ne le v postopek zdravljenja, temveč mora medicinska sestra izvajati svojo temeljno nalogo zdravstveno-vzgojnega dela ter sočasno nuditi psihosocialno podporo obolelemu otroku, kot tudi njegovi družini.

Secondary title: Treatment of a children with cancer
Secondary abstract: Teoretical introduction. Cancer is a rare disease of children and adolescents. However, when cancer occurs at child, there is always great fear of outcome and death present. Nurses are an important element of quality implementation of pediatric oncology nursing. The role of nurse is important throug all phases of preventive measures, hospital treatment, recognizing symptoms of relapse after treatment, as well as in the implementation of health education. Research metodology. We used the descriptive method. The research was based on a qualitative methodology, a case study was carried out, where we used the technique of the interview, which included open-ended questions. Results. We have found that 14 basic life activities of Virginia Henderson ensures a quality and continuing nursing care. With exposed nursing diagnoses, we found out that because of cancer, which child have, performes everyday activities worse, and that during the treatment process, fear is present. Conclusion. Implementation of quality nursing care is critical to the patient with cancer desease. The full attention of oncology nursing care needs to be directed not only to the healing process, but also the nurse has to perform its fundamental task of health-educational work, and implement psychosocial support to children with cancer and their families.
