Abstract

Magistrska naloga prikazuje potek raziskave, s katero sem ugotavljal vpliv izbranih organizacijskih konceptov na inovativnost slovenskih in španskih proizvodnih podjetij.

Secondary title: The impact of organizational concepts on the innovation and performance of manufacturing companies
Secondary abstract: The Master's thesis presents research which was conducted in order to assess the impact of selected organizational concepts on the innovativeness of Slovenian and Spanish manufacturing companies. In the theoretical part of the thesis, firstly, the concept of innovation is briefly presented. Furthermore, the division of innovations is discussed in more detail with the focus on non-technological or organizational innovations. This is followed by a brief review of the relationship between organizational structures and the presented organizational innovations. Prior to the empirical part, which includes the research work, there is an overview of the literature with abstracts of existing scholarly articles in the field of organizational innovations. To a great extent, those articles confirm that organizational concepts have a positive impact on innovations. In the empirical part, firstly, the course of the research is described, followed by the presentation of results. Firstly, the ten most commonly used concepts are selected and on that basis, the descriptive analysis is conducted. The analysis tells us which concepts are used most commonly and which have a high rate of usage. This is followed by the statistical models which show the positive impacts of organizational concepts on product innovation and on the innovation in product related services. In conclusion, the comparison between the use of organizational concepts (data from 2009 and 2012) and a comparison of introducing new products and product related services in 2009 and 2012 is made. In both cases, we record negative changes.
