Abstract

Diplomsko delo Vrstniška mediacija na osnovnih šolah v podravski regiji je empirično delo. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljen pomen medsebojnih odnosov in povezanost le-teh s konflikti. Nato je predstavljena mediacija kot konstruktiven način razreševanja konfliktov. Podrobno so prikazane zakonitosti mediacije (temeljna načela in pravila). Sledi predstavitev vrstniške mediacije, ki je razreševanje konfliktov med vrstniki ob prisotnosti vrstniškega mediatorja, hkrati pa so predstavljeni kriteriji in značilnosti, ki naj bi jih imel vsak vrstniški mediator. V empiričnem delu je bil namen raziskave anketiranje vrstniških mediatorjev, da bi ugotovili, kakšne so njihove izkušnje z izvajanjem mediacij, kako izvajanje mediacij vpliva na njih in kako na njihovo družabno življenje, kakšna so njihova stališča in ali ustrezajo predpisanim kriterijem, ki naj bi veljali za vrstniške mediatorje. Raziskana je organizacija vrstniške mediacije, ki zajema prostor in čas izvajanja mediacij, pogostost sestankov vrstniških mediatorjev in promocija vrstniške mediacije na osnovnih šolah. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da vrstniška mediacija kot relativno nov način razreševanja konfliktov v naše šolstvo še ni popolnoma vpeljana. To se odraža na podlagi rezultatov, ki kažejo, da se učenci vrstniške mediacije udeležujejo v manjši meri. Rezultati so razkrili, da je organiziranost vrstniške mediacije v podravski regiji dobra in ustreza predpisanim kriterijem. Na podlagi podatkov, ki so bili pridobljeni z anketiranjem vrstniških mediatorjev, pa je mogoče potrditi, da vrstniška mediacija vpliva na učence izključno pozitivno. Ugotavljamo, da so prvi koraki na tem področju narejeni v pravo smer, vendar bi bilo treba vlogo vrstniške mediacije v osnovnih šolah še okrepiti.

Secondary abstract: Peer Mediation at Primary Schools in Podravska Region is an empirical thesis. The theoretical part introduces the meaning of interpersonal relations and their connections to conflicts. Mediation is presented as a constructive way of solving conflicts with a detailed description of its basic principles and rules. Peer mediation, on the other hand, consists of conflict solving peers and a peer mediator who helps to end a dispute. Criteria and characteristics of the latter are explained simultaneously with the peer mediation. The purpose of the research in the empirical part was surveying of peer mediators to establish, what mediation execution experience they have, what impact mediation has on them, how it influences their social life, what their standpoints are and whether they suit the required criteria valid for mediators. The peer mediation organisation that includes space and time of mediation execution, frequency of peer mediators meetings, and the promotion of peer mediation at primary schools has also been researched. The results indicate that peer mediation, as a relatively new manner of solving conflicts, is not yet fully integrated into our school system. This is reflected on the basis of the results which indicate a lesser number of students participating at peer mediation. It has also been revealed that the organisation of peer mediation in Podravska Region is good and it suits the required criteria. According to the data acquired by the peer mediator survey, it can be confirmed that peer mediation has solely positive influence on students. Thus, it may be concluded the first steps in this field were made in the right direction; however, the role of the peer mediation at primary schools should be fortified.
