Abstract

Secondary title: MODEL FOR EVALUATION OF COASTAL TOURIST DESTINATIONS
Secondary abstract: The Master's degree thesis shows the multi-attribute decision model for the evaluation of coastal tourist destinations made by the software tool DEXi. The reason this tool was used is because of its functionality that can help us make a fair evaluation of coastal destination when used properly. The model consists of two decision trees. The first tree evaluates a coastal tourist destination as a whole. If the final evaluation of a certain destination is good, we use the second decision tree. With this tree we evaluate one or more hotels located at the evaluated destination. The model was designed for one of Slovenian tourist agencies and therefore we wanted to consider the priorities of Slovenian tourists when they go on a holiday to the seaside. For this reason, a survey was carried out. The obtained results of people’s priorities in tourist destinations were included in the model in such way that higher values were assigned to criteria more important to people and lower values to less important criteria.
