(diplomsko delo)
Abstract

Attitudes towards educating co-workers among nursing staff |
Secondary abstract: |
Theoretical starting points: Learning and education are the best investment in the future of an individual and of an organisation that employs this individual. In the present thesis we present the importance of education for an individual as well as for an organisation, the importance of the education in nursing care, the rights of the employees and the importance of motivation, and the meaning of mutual relations within the organisation that takes part in education. The research objective was to establish the meaning of education in nursing care and to present an additional workload in the nursing team, created by the education of co-workers.
Research methodology: The research was based on a quantitative work method. The data were collected with a structured anonymous questionnaire containing 14 questions of different types: open, half-open and closed. The research sample included 47 members of the nursing team of a health institute on a primary level. The research was carried out in January 2013.
Results: The research showed that education is of the most importance for an individual, assuming the responsibility for their work and of key importance for an organisation and its development. An additional workload in a nursing team is present owing to the education of the co-workers; which does not have an aggravating effect on the co-workers nor does it affect mutual relations.
Discussion: Education in various forms is very important for an organisation and an individual in the light of development, assuming the responsibility for their work and offering quality and professional nursing care which results in affecting relations among co-workers at work. In our opinion, education is a key to promotion in all fields of nursing care. |
