Kakovost življenja sladkornega bolnika na delovnem mestu

Abstract

V magistrski nalogi predstavljamo vedno aktualno tematiko sladkorne bolezni. Število obolelih za sladkorno boleznijo v svetu in prav tako v Sloveniji iz leta v leto narašča in posledično s tem tudi število pacientov v diabetoloških ambulantah. Razširiti želimo znanje o sladkorni bolezni in razložiti, da lahko zanjo zboli vsak. Veliko je dejavnikov, ki hitreje privedejo do bolezni (nezdrav življenjski slog, premalo gibanja ali bolezen v družini), včasih pa ni očitnega vzroka zanjo. Vedno več je pacientov, ki so ob diagnozi sladkorne bolezni tipa 2 mlajši od 30 let. V prvem delu naloge predstavimo teoretična izhodišča za našo raziskavo. Opredelimo področje sladkorne bolezni na delovnem mestu, dejavnike, ki so povezani s kakovostjo življenja na delovnem mestu, in kakovost življenja sladkornih bolnikov na delovnem mestu. V drugem delu predstavimo rezultate izvedene raziskave in podamo ključne ugotovitve. Raziskava je potekala v diabetološki ambulanti v Splošni bolnišnici Jesenice, predhodno pa smo zanjo pridobili dovoljenje in soglasje Komisije za medicinsko etiko Splošne bolnišnice Jesenice. Osredotočili smo se na sladkorne bolnike, ki so zboleli za sladkorno boleznijo v času, ko so bili še delovno aktivni. Bolj podrobno smo raziskali kakovost življenja sladkornega bolnika na delovnem mestu. V okviru naloge izvedemo več multivariatnih analiz za testiranje hipotez. Na podlagi statističnih testov nato potrdimo ali ovržemo postavljene hipoteze in predpostavke ter podamo zaključne ugotovitve glede stanja kakovosti življenja sladkornih bolnikov na gornjem Gorenjskem.

Secondary abstract:	In the Master’s thesis we present the always topical issue of diabetes. The number of people with diabetes in the world and in Slovenia is yearly increasing and consequently increases the number of patients at diabetes clinics. We want to spread the knowledge about diabetes and explain that everyone can get it. There are lots of factors that quicker lead to diabetes (unhealthy lifestyle, lack of exercise or illness in the family), but sometimes there is no obvious cause for the illness. An increasing number of patients are at the time of the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes younger than 30. In the first part of the thesis we present theoretic origins for our research. We define the field of diabetes at the workplace, factors, related to the quality of life at the workplace, and the quality of life of diabetes patients at the workplace. In the second part we present results of the conducted research and provide the key findings. The research took place at the diabetes clinic of the General hospital Jesenice, where we previously obtained permission and consent of the Commission for medical ethics of the General hospital Jesenice. We focused on diabetes patient, who got diabetes during the time that they were still employed. We more thoroughly focused on the field of quality of life of the diabetes patient at the workplace. In the framework of the thesis we conduct several multivariate analyses to test the hypotheses. Based on statistical tests we then confirm or refute the set hypotheses and assumptions and provide concluding findings regarding the quality of life of diabetes patients at upper Carinthia.
