Abstract

Pravičnost je pojem, s katerim se ljudje srečujemo iz dneva v dan. Pravičnost posega na vsa področja našega življenja, med drugim tudi v izobraževanje in šolo. Na pravičnost v šoli vpliva več dejavnikov, eden izmed njih je lahko tudi spol. Razlike med spoloma se pojavljajo v učnem uspehu učencev, na kar lahko vplivajo tudi spolni stereotipi. V empiričnem delu predstavljamo na primerih ene osnovne in ene srednje šole raziskavo o pravičnosti v šoli, dojemanju razlik med spoloma v učnem uspehu, priljubljenih predmetih fantov in deklet, vzrokih za različen uspeh fantov in deklet in stereotipih med spoloma v izobraževalnem sistemu. Rezultati kažejo, da učenci kot pravično šolo dojemajo tisto, ki vsem omogoča enake izobraževalne možnosti. Učenci opažajo razlike med spoloma tako pri priljubljenih predmetih kot pri učnem uspehu. Pri opisu osebnostnih lastnosti za posamezni spol in vzrokih za dober učni uspeh fantov in deklet učenci razmišljajo stereotipno in v skladu z večinskim mnenjem družbe.

Secondary abstract: Justness is a notion which we encounter day by day. Justness intervenes with all areas(?) of our lives, including education and school. Justness in school is influenced by several factors, one of them may also be the gender. Gender differences occur in the academic achievements of the students that can be influenced by gender stereotypes. The empirical part presents a research based upon one primary and one secondary school about the justness in school, perception of gender differences in academic achievement, popularity of subjects of boys and girls, the causes of different success of boys and girls and gender stereotypes in educational system. Results show that school is perceived as just by the students if it enables equal educational opportunities for all. Students notice gender differences in both popular subject and academic achievement. When it comes to describing personal characteristics of each gender and reasons for good academic achievements, they think stereotypically and in line with the majority.
