Abstract

Metodologija: Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo dela. Z analizo domače in tuje literature smo opredelili teoretična izhodišča.

Secondary title: The treatment of children with muscular distrophy
Secondary abstract: Theoretical framework: Neuromuscular diseases are diseases that are characterized by muscular decay which means that children need help with their everyday life essential activities. A nurse has the lead role in that as she provides the children and their parents support in the treatment. Methodology: We used a descriptive method. We did an analysis of domestic and foreign literature to define a theoretical framework, The data for the thesis were also found in foreign data bases: COBISS, DKUM, foreign data bases (also with full text option), CINAHL, LISA. Results and conclusion: Results of the research support the assumption that healthcare of a child with muscular dystrophy requires multidisciplinary treatment of the child. It demands the attention of health professionals and parents. This is a disease there is no cure for and that is why we offer the child a normal life as much as possible with the help of technical devices.
