Abstract

Cilj družinskih podjetij ni kratkoročno razmišljanje in hiter zaslužek, temveč dolgoročen in stabilen razvoj.

Secondary title: Succession plan in family business M, d.o.o.
Secondary abstract: For a long time, family businesses have been an important part of a global economy in numerous countries. Having this in mind, it is wrong to think that family businesses are equal to small or middle-sized companies as there are numerous big family businesses in the world today. Family businesses are important when it comes to creating new posts; moreover they reduce unemployment and raise life quality. Their goal is not short –term thinking and making profit fast but long-term and stabilized development. In Slovenia, family businesses are mostly young as we first learned about them twenty years ago and they are vital to the Slovene economy. When a family business is passed on from one generation to another there might some problems occur which might not necessarily be connected to the company's everyday activities. Therefore, passing a company on to the next generation should be a process dealt with very early, namely when children enter the business.
