Abstract

Stres na delovnem mestu je splošen fenomen, ki je v zadnjem obdobju tudi zaradi enormnih stroškov, ki jih povzroča, pritegnil veliko pozornosti tako strokovne kot znanstvene javnosti. Kljub temu se zdi, da podjetja in organizacije pri svojem praktičnem delovanju prepoznavanju stresnih dejavnikov in ustvarjanju pogojev za dobro počutje zaposlenih (še) ne posvečajo zadostne pozornosti. Pozitivni učinki strategij in programov premagovanja stresa v organizaciji se kažejo v manjši odsotnosti z dela in manjši fluktuaciji zaposlenih, večji produktivnosti, morali in lojalnosti zaposlenih ter konec koncev tudi uspešnosti podjetja in njegovem ugledu med zaposlenimi in navzven. V magistrskem delu sistematično predstavimo fenomen stresa s poudarkom na stresu na delovnem mestu, njegovih značilnostih, posledicah in načinih za njegovo premagovanje. Rezultati raziskave, ki smo jo izvedli v podjetju Plastoform Blanca d.o.o., kažejo, da stres med zaposlenimi narašča, da so ženske bolj pod stresom kot moški ter da za zaposlene pomemben vir stresa predstavljajo dejavniki, ki izhajajo iz delovnega okolja in organizacije dela. Čeprav zaposleni zaznavajo trud podjetja pri upravljanju dejavnikov poklicnega stresa, rezultati raziskave nakazujejo na potrebo po bolj sistematičnem in bolj osredotočenem prepoznavanju stresogenih dejavnikov delovnega okolja ter pripravi in implementaciji učinkovitih strategij za prepoznavanje, obvladovanje in preprečevanje stresa na delovnem mestu.

Secondary abstract: Stress in the workplace is a common phenomenon that has in recent years also due to enormous costs caused by it, attracted a lot of attention of both professional and scientific public. Nevertheless, it seems that companies and organizations in their practical functioning (still) do not devote sufficient attention to identifying stress factors and creating the conditions for the well-being of employees. The positive effects of strategies and programs to overcome stress in the organization are reflected in lower absenteeism and lower staff turnover, greater productivity, and higher level of loyalty of employees and ultimately the performance of the company and its reputation among employees and externally. In this thesis we present a phenomenon of stress sistematically with emphasis on stress in the workplace, its characteristics, consequences and ways to overcome them. The results of the research which was carried out in the company Plastoform Blanca d.o.o. show that stress among employees is growing, that women are more stressed than men, and that a significant source of stress represent factors arising from the work environment and work organization. Although employees perceive effort of the enterprise in the management of occupational stress factors, the research results suggest the need for a more structured and more focused identification of stressors of the work environment, and the preparation and implementation of effective strategies to identify, manage and prevent stress in the workplace.
