Abstract
Diplomsko delo prikazuje različne ekstrakcijske metode, s katerimi smo ekstrahirali pigmente iz rdeče čili paprike. Kot topili smo uporabili superkritični CO2 in subkritični propan. Ekstrakcije so potekale pri različnih temperaturah in tlakih, prav tako pa smo za primerjavo izvedli še ekstrakcijo s Soxhletovim aparatom, pri kateri smo kot topilo uporabili petroleter. Velikost zmletih delcev semen in rastlinskega tkiva smo določili s sejalno analizo. Z UV-VIS spektrofotometrom smo pripravljenim vzorcem določili absorbanco ter nato izračunali barvno intenziteto dobljenih ekstraktov po CU (Colour Unit) vrednosti. Rezultati kažejo, da je najprimernejša metoda za izolacijo pigmentov iz paprike superkritična ekstrakcija s CO2, za izolacijo kapsaicina pa ekstrakcija s subkritičnim propanom.

In this thesis, different extraction methods, with which the pigments from red chili pepper were extracted, are presented. Supercritical carbon dioxide and subcritical propane were used as solvents. Extractions were performed on different temperature and pressure conditions. For comparision, the extraction with Soxhlet extractor, where petroleum ether was used as a solvent, was also performed. Sieve analysis of ground material was performed in order to define the size of the particles of the raw material in seeds and plant tissue. Additionally, the UV-VIS spectrophotometry was performed in order to measure absorbance with which the colour intensity in CU (Color Unit) values was calculated. The results show that the supercritical extraction with carbon dioxide is the most suitable method to isolate pigments and the extraction with subcritical propane is the most suitable method to isolate capsaicin from red chili pepper. |
