Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo predstavili vlogo medicinske sestre pri preventivni in kurativni skrbi za zdravje otrok in mladostnikov s posebnimi potrebami v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu Dom Antona Skale. Predstavljeni so kriteriji za opredelitev vrste in stopnje primanjkljajev, ovir oz. motenj otrok s posebnimi potrebami, kriteriji za določitev začasnega spremljevalca za fizično pomoč, pot usmerjanja otrok s posebnimi potrebami, načini izobraževanja otrok s posebnimi potrebami, nastanitev otrok s posebnimi potrebami in druge oblike pomoči. Podrobno je opisana vloga in delo medicinske sestre z otroki in mladostniki v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu. Predstavljen je razvoj, spremembe, prilagoditve, težave in potrebe pri delu medicinske sestre v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu, skozi obdobja od prve zaposlitve in vse do danes. Opisali smo tudi delo drugih strokovnih in tehničnih delavcev v zavodu, ter sodelovanje z zunanjimi institucijami. Uspešno, kakovostno delo v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu je v veliki meri odvisno od timskega dela vseh zaposlenih v zavodu, staršev ali skrbnikov in drugih strokovnih delavcev izven zavoda. V diplomskem delu smo uporabili metodo preučevanja literature in virov ter deskriptivno ali opisno metodo dela. Prišli smo do ugotovitve, da je vloga medicinske sestre pri delu z otroci in mladostniki s posebnimi potrebami v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu zelo pomembna in potrebna, za kakovostno obravnavo. Ker delo v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu od medicinske sestre zahteva tudi druga znanja, smo v zaključku diplomskega dela predstavili projektno delo in preventivni program, Hiša zdravja.

In this thesis we present the role of a nurse in preventive and curative health care for children and adolescents with special needs in education and residential care institution Dom Antona Skale. The thesis also presents criteria for identifying the type and level of disability or disorder, criteria for determining temporary attendant for physically disabled children, placement of children with special needs, different ways of educating children with special needs, accommodation of children with special needs, and other forms of assistance. Further, we describe in detail the role and work of a nurse in education and residential care institution as well as present development, changes, accommodations, difficulties and needs encountered by the nurse form the first employment until today. The thesis also describes the work of other professional and technical workers in education and residential care institution as well as collaboration with other professional institutions. Successful and high-quality work in education and residential care institution highly depends on teamwork of all: employees, parents or guardians and other professionals. Research methods used in this thesis are literature review and descriptive method. We conclude that the role of a nurse is very important and necessary for quality treatment of children and adolescence with special needs in education and residential care institution. Since the work in education and residential care institution demands from a nurse additional skills and knowledge, the thesis concludes with presentation of a project and preventive programme called “The House of Health”. |
