Abstract
V diplomskem delu predstavljamo najbolj uveljavljeno biometrično tehnologijo - sistem za prepoznavanje oseb na podlagi prstnih odtisov. Cilj diplomske naloge je predstaviti in analizirati sistem, ki primerja podatke (vzorce prstnih odtisov) z že znanimi podatki v podatkovni bazi. Glavna značilnost biometrije je priskrbeti verodostojna in kvalitetna dokazila pri osebni identifikaciji/avtentikaciji. V diplomski nalogi je prikazan potek zaščite in prikaz pomanjkljivosti biometričnih podatkov, varnost osebnih biometričnih podatkov, osnovna dejstva in delovanje senzorja za prepoznavanje prstnih odtisov ter analiza sistema za primerjavo podatkov. Predstavljena so tudi možna tveganja in pomanjkljivosti te biometrične metode.

The thesis presents the most established biometric technology - a system for identifying people based on fingerprints. The aim of the thesis is to present and analyze the authentication system based on fingerprints. Such a system compares the data (fingerprint patterns) with already known data in the database. The main feature of biometrics is to provide authentic and quality evidence for personal identification / authentication. The thesis shows the progress of protection and displays weaknesses of biometrics, security of personal biometric data, basic facts, the sensor system for fingerprint recognition and analysis system for data comparison. Presented are also potential risks and disadvantages of biometric methods. |
