(diplomsko delo)
Abstract
Raziskovalna metodologija: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela. Zbrane podatke smo obdelali in analizirali z računalniškima programoma Microsoft Office Word in Excel.
Sklep: Za uspešno in učinkovito izvajanje transplantacijske dejavnosti sta ozaveščenost in podpora strokovne javnosti zelo pomembni.

AWARENESS AND ATTITUDES OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TOWARDS POST-MORTEM ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION |
Secondary abstract: |
Theoretical basis: Post-mortem organ donation is the key segment of transplantation activity, since without the latter transplantation treatment is not possible. Each donor is essential for transplantation activity due to the fact that one deceased donor can save lives of numerous patients. Several patients die before suitable organ for transplantation is obtained. The purpose of this diploma thesis was to present transplantation notions and procedures, and to ascertain awareness and countenance of health care performers regarding post-mortem organ and tissue donation.
Research methodology: In this diploma thesis descriptive method of work was used. The research was based on quantitative methodology. The questionnaire was used as the research instrument, and was fulfilled by 93 health care performers. The gathered information was processed and analysed with computer programs Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Results: Research ascertained that only half of health care performers would be willing to donor their tissues and organs post-mortem. In addition it was proved that majority of respondents was introduced to work procedures by potentially deceased donor or deceased donor impromptu at work in their work place. Two thirds of respondents admitted not knowing enough about transplantation activity in Slovenia or about work procedures by potentially deceased donor or deceased donor.
Conclusion: Awareness and professional public support are essential for successful and effective performance of transplantation activity. The assessment that majority of respondents are informed about transplantation activity and transplantation procedures impromptu at work, and that two thirds of respondents admits not knowing enough about transplantation activity and would like to know more, confirms the necessity to organise educational seminars for already employed, and after the inclusion of contents about transplantation activity into educational programs, for future health care perfomers. |
