Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava poznavanje praznikov in praznovanj med učenci. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo podrobneje predstavili praznike in praznovanja v Sloveniji ter s stališča le-teh tudi pouk spoznavanja okolja v prvem triletju in družba v četrtem ter petem razredu osnovne šole. Iz zornega kota praznikov in praznovanj smo podrobno analizirali vse učbeniške komplete za pouk spoznavanje okolja (za 1., 2. in 3. razred) in družba (4. in 5. razred), ki jih je potrdil Strokovni svet republike Slovenije za splošno izobraževanje. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela smo ugotavljali, kakšno znanje in védenje imajo o praznikih in praznovanjih učenci in učenke 3., 4. in 5. razredov OŠ Šmarje pri Jelšah in OŠ Franja Malgaja Šentjur pri Celju. Rezultati kažejo, da učenci dobro poznajo definicijo praznika in simbole praznikov in praznovanj, nekoliko manj védenja in znanja imajo o namenu in pomenu praznikov in praznovanj ter o poznavanju datumov praznikov in praznovanj.

The dissertation deals with the knowledge of holidays and festivities of primary school students. The theoretical part presents holidays and festivities in Slovenia in detail and their part in Environmental Studies (spoznavanje okolja) in the first triad and Sociology (družba) in the fourth and fifth class of primary school. All textbooks approved by the Expert Council for General Education of the Republic of Slovenia for Environmental Studies (class 1-3) and Sociology (class 4 and 5) have been thoroughly analysed from the view point of holidays and festivities. The empirical part determines the extent of knowledge and familiarity with holidays and festivities of class 3 to 5 students at Primary School Šmarje pri Jelšah and Primary School Franjo Malgaj Šentjur. The results show that students are well familiar with the definitions and symbols for different holidays and festivities. However, they lack certain knowledge and familiarity with the intent and meaning of holidays and festivities, and the exact dates of holidays and festivities. |
