Abstract

Stres je doživetje posameznika, ki se pojavi v situaciji, ki ji ni kos. To je doživetje posameznika, ki zazna razliko med zahtevami okolja in svojimi zmogljivostmi. Stres pri delu je ena najhujših težav v današnjih podjetjih. Višja pričakovanja, hitrejši tempo dela, nove zahteve in obremenitve povzročajo vse večji stres, s katerim se vsak dan soočajo podjetja in njihovi zaposleni. Posledice stresa se ne odražajo samo v socialnem okolju zaposlenih, ampak tudi med samim procesom dela. Zaposleni pod stresom slabše opravljajo delovne naloge, v delo vložijo manj energije, lahko se pojavi celo odtujenost od dela, zato kakovost dela upada. Posledice neobvladljivega kroničnega stresa se pri človeku kažejo na celotnem organizmu. Povzroči lahko vedenjske, telesne in psihične težave. S stresom so povezani tudi nezdravi vedenjski vzorci in razvade, npr. alkoholizem, kajenje, prekomerno uživanje hrane itd. Stres pa nima samo negativne plati, pozitivni oziroma blagi stres na človeka deluje pozitivno, saj povečuje delovno vnemo, spodbuja ustvarjalnost in delavnost. Do pred kratkim so strokovnjaki za premagovanje stresa priporočali sprostitvene metode, kar je vsekakor eden pomembnejših vidikov premagovanja stresa, vendar pa se moramo stresa lotiti celovito. Prvi korak je prepoznavanje stresa na delovnem mestu ter prepoznavanje njegovih vzrokov za nastanek in posledic. Na podlagi tega ga lahko omilimo, zmanjšamo ali odpravimo.

Secondary abstract: Stress is an experience of an individual, that occurs in a situation that he can not cope with. This is the experience of the individual, who detects the difference between the requirements of the environment and his own capabilities. Stress at work is one of the most serious problems in today's enterprises. Higher expectations, faster pace of work, new demands and strains, are all causing increase in stress, that companies and their employees are facing each day. The effects of stress are not only reflected in the social environment of employees, but also during the process of work. Under stress, employees are performing less efficient, they submit less energy in work process, and consecuence from stress can occur even in alienation from work, so the quality of work is declining. The consequences of unmanageable chronic stress are effecting the whole human organism and it can cause behavioral, physical and psychological problems. The stress is also linked to unhealthy behavior patterns and habits, eg. alcoholism, smoking, excessive consumption of food, etc.. Stress does not have only negative side, positive or mild stress has positive effect on humans and it showes in increasing enthusiasm for the job, it encourages creativity and activities. Until recently, the experts recommended relaxation methods for overcoming the stress, which is definitely one of the most important aspects of overcoming stress, but stress demands to bet aken comprehensively. The first step is to identify stress at workplace and to recognise its causes and consequences. On this basis, it can be mitigated, reduced or eliminated.
