Abstract

V diplomskem delu analiziramo, implementiramo in opišemo evolucijo virtualnih organizmov z genetskim algoritmom. Najprej predstavimo osnovne koncepte fizikalnih simulacij in genetskih algoritmov in nato podrobneje opišemo našo rešitev. Praktični del diplomskega dela je primer evolucijskega programiranja, pri katerem se trudimo posnemati biološko evolucijo. S procesi, ki so podobni biološkim, postopoma razvijamo populacijo virtualnih organizmov. Cilj diplomskega dela je implementirati evolucijo virtualnih organizmov z genetskimi algoritmi tako, da bodo razviti organizmi sposobni učinkovitega gibanja v fizikalno realistični simulaciji.

Secondary abstract: In this diploma we analyze, implement and describe the evolution of virtual organisms using the genetic algorithm. First we introduce the basic concepts of physical simulations and genetic algorithms, then we describe our solution in more detail. Practical part is an example of evolutionary programming, where we try to mimic the biological evolution. With processes similar to biological we gradually develop a population of virtual organisms. The goal of this diploma is to implement the evolution of virtual organisms using genetic algoritms in a way that the developed organisms will be able to move effectively in a physically realistic simulation.
