Umetnostna galerija Maribor: Idejna zasnova informacijskega paviljona s kavarno

Abstract

Pri predmetu Studio III 2013/2014 smo izdelali idejno zasnovo nove galerije na območju ob reki Dravi, ki predstavlja izjemen potencial urbane strukture mesta. Informacijski paviljon s kavarno je nadgradnja študijskega projekta, ki novo galerijo približa ljudem, obenem pa s svojo postavitvijo neposredno ob in celo na vodo reši enega izmed ključnih problemov Lenta – neizkoriščenost reke Drave. Naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in projektnega dela. V prvem delu je predstavljen Maribor, zgodovina, poslanstvo in obstoječe stanje UGM ter predstavitev mojega študijskega projekta. S pomočjo primerov dobre prakse in upoštevanjem analiznih ugotovitev je v projektnem delu predstavljena idejna zasnova paviljona. Ta je jasno zasnovana in ima spoštljiv odnos do historične mestne strukture.

Secondary abstract:	Studio III 2013/2014 was the course where we developed a conceptual design of new galleries in the area alongside of river Drava. That represents enormous potencial of the urban fabric of the city. Information pavilion with cafeteria is an upgrade of the study project, which brings new gallery closer to the people. On the other side, the location of gallery will solve one of the most important issues on river Drava – it will decline its utilization. Thesis contains theoretical and project part. First part presents Maribor, its history, mission, »status quo« of Maribor Art Gallery and presentation of my study project. Concept of pavilion is presented with the help of the examples of good practice and with taking into the consideration the findings of the analysis in project work. Concept is clearly designed and has a respectful attitude to the historical urban structure.
