Abstract

Podatke smo obdelali s statističnim programom SPSS.

Secondary title: Differences in motor efficiency between four- and six-year-old boys and girls
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this thesis is to determine whether there are any statistically significant differences in movement efficiency of 4 and 6 years old boys and girls. We were also interested in the differences occuring among the boys and girls of the same age. A MOT 4−6 test including 18 movement exercises has been used for testing the children. 17 of those movement exercises are graded according to a three-level scale (0, 1, or 2 points). The sum of all the points achieved represents the movement efficiency of an individual child. The testing sample included 60 children, comprising of 30 4-year-olds and 30 6-year-olds. The data was collected during the study year of 2014/2015, namely from October 2014 until May 2015. The data was processed with a statistical programme SPSS. We have proven that statistically significant differences exist between the groups of 4-year-olds and 6-year-olds, while the differences among boys and girls were not proven to be statistically significant.
