Abstract
Rast skozi internacionalizacijo je pomembna strateška izbira za mala in srednje velika podjetja. V zadnjih letih je imela internacionalizacija za mala in srednje velika podjetja v mednarodnih krogih pomembno, aktivno vlogo, saj jih je napredek na vseh področjih prisilil v razmišljanje o internacionalizaciji poslovanja. Internacionalizacija lahko malim in srednjim podjetjem pomaga, da dobijo nov zagon v svetovnem gospodarstvu, ki postaja vedno bolj soodvisno.
Mala in srednje velika podjetja (MSP) predstavljajo pomemben del gospodarske rasti in dinamike, ne le za razvite države, temveč tudi za gospodarstva v razvoju. V zadnjih desetletjih so bila mala in srednje velika podjetja predmet raziskav v mednarodnem managementu, saj se je število teh podjetij, ki delujejo na mednarodnih trgih, drastično povečalo in s tem posledično tudi njihova internacionalizacija. V globalnem gospodarstvu, za katerega je trenutno značilna znatno povečana konkurenca, napredek na vseh področij, ki je posledica napredovanja tehnologije in oblikovanja novih trendov, morajo mala in srednja podjetja, ki želijo ostati konkurenčna, upoštevati internacionalizacijo kot svojo strateško možnost in kot del strateškega načrta. Ker se meje postopoma zmanjšujejo in tehnologija odpravlja razdalje, lahko zdaj ta podjetja z lahkoto in prosto (zaradi liberalizacije trgovine), dostopajo in nastopajo na trgu mednarodnih interesov. Tržna situacija tako olajšuje mednarodne operacije, tako na globalni, še posebej pa na ravni EU, saj se le-ta izjemno hitro širi.
V tem diplomskem projektu smo obravnavali internacionalizacijo kot strateško možnost za mala in srednja podjetja, za katero se podjetja odločijo na podlagi različnih dejavnikov. Ugotovili smo, kako je globalizacija vplivala na poslovanje malih in srednje velikih podjetij, zakaj se podjetja odločajo za internacionalizacijo ter kako le-ta vpliva na uspešnost in konkurenčnost podjetij. Primerjali smo dve uspešni slovenski podjetji, ki sta internacionalizacijo uporabili kot eno izmed svojih strateških možnosti pri svojem uspešnem poslovanju na mednarodnih trgih.

Growth through internationalization is an important strategic option for small and medium-sized enterprises. In recent years, a significant development on all fields, forced small and medium-sized companies to start thinking about internationalization on global markets. The internationalization of SMEs can help enterprises to get commissioning for the appearance on global markets, because the world economy is becoming increasingly interdependent.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) represent an important part of economic growth and dynamics not only for economically powerful countries but also for developing economies. In recent decades, interest in the study of small and medium-sized enterprises in international management extremely increased as the proportion of businesses operating in global markets quickly began to grow and consequently also their internationalization.
In a global economy, currently characterized by increased competition and advances in all fields, owing to rapid technological progress and formulation of new trends, a company that wants to stay competitive, must consider the option of internationalization as part of strategic plan. As borders are being increasingly removed and technological advances eliminate distance, companies can now access easily and freely (due to trade liberalization) international markets of interest. Hence, the present market condition facilitates international operations, both on a global and, especially on an EU level, due to the rapid expansion of the EU market.
In this diploma project, we discussed internationalization as a strategic option for small and medium sized enterprises, for which the company decided based on the various factors that may or are affecting it. We have found the main purposes, of how globalization has affected operations of small and medium sized enterprises, why companies basically opt for internationalization, and how it affects the efficiency and competitiveness of their business later. At the same time, we compared two successful Slovenian companies that used internationalization as one of their strategic options for it, in order for them to be successful in international markets. |
