V diplomski nalogi smo podrobneje predstavili različne definicije MSP in velikih podjetij. Obstaja veliko različnih avtorjev, ki so opredeljevali MSP. Mi smo skladno z lastnimi zmožnostmi subjektivno izbrali le nekatere.

Sekundarni naslov: A comparison between the characteristics of small- and medium-sized enterprises and large enterprises in the case of enterprises of the Slovenian economy
Sekundarni povzetek: According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia 99,8% of enterprises in 2013 were small and medium-sized. Every Slovenian enterprise that has up to 250 employees is included in this percentage. The other 0,2% are large enterprises. Even though small enterprises tend to prevail, they complement the large enterprises in the national economy; therefore, both categories are important and necessary. We focused on their similarities and differences. In the dissertation we introduced several definitions of small, medium-sized enterprises and large enterprises in detail. A number of different authors have defined small and medium-sized enterprises. In line with our capabilities we have subjectively chosen only a few. We also compared the characteristics of small, medium-sized and large enterprises, such as: business management, organization, purchase, production, sale, research and development, finance, resources, disposal operations, logistics and social responsibility. We also defined the advantages and disadvantages of both. In the empirical part we practically examined all the elements based on the chosen enterprises. For this purpose we have selected two small, medium-sized and two large enterprises from the Slovenian economy. We conclude with the findings about the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of small, medium-sized and large enterprises and with propositions for the Slovenian economy.
