Abstract

Z razvojem računalnikov so bile omogočene numerične simulacije celotnih HE sistemom, ki nam omogočajo razumevanje delovanja teh turbin.

Secondary title: Numerical simulation of hydrokinetic water turbine in the river Mura
Secondary abstract: In the European Union development goes mainly in the direction of self-sufficiency in electricity from renewable energy sources. Because Slovenia has an obligation to increase energy efficiency for 20 %, all studies are made for exploitation of water resources, which have no hydropower plants. In this studies are included low land river with a small drop, like the river Mura. For the production of energy from such sources they are using more turbines that have significantly less impact on the environment, and are put in place in the current. With the development of computers we have the ability to make numerical simulation of the total hydropower system, which help us to understand how these turbines are functioning. With a numerical simulations it is possible to predict the whole operational characteristics of a turbine for a certain flow velocity. In this work we carried out the calculation and we used a different computational models and we compared their results. The results showed that by using a variety of computational models, we expect the similar results.
