Abstract

Promocijo zdravja morajo načrtovati, izvajati in spremljati, drugače so kazensko odgovorni.

Secondary title: HEALTH PROMOTION IN THE WORKPLACE
Secondary abstract: In Slovenia, the Law on occupational safety and health was adopted in 2011. It stipulates employer's and employee's rights and obligations in respect of safe and healthy work. It is the interaction between employer and employee with the common aim of maintaining and improving health. The law requires employers to perform activities in the field of providing healthy workplaces and work processes in all companies, irrespective of size. Health promotion should be planned, implemented and monitored, otherwise employers are criminally liable. Employees can take care of their health with certain activities already during working hours, but that is the decision of each individual. In this thesis, I identify how employers and employees take care of their health at sedentary jobs. The thesis consists of two parts. In the first part, I use the literature to present basic concepts of health promotion and its benefits, implementation programs and risk factors. In the second part I'm using surveys to analyze the importance of health promotion, working conditions, satisfaction with activities, types of activities and employees health problems. I was also trying to determine the percentage of employers that carry out activities and areas of implementation of these activities, stress management and a healthy diet. According to the data collected, I presented the findings and offered suggestions for effective implementation of health promotion for sedentary jobs.
