(magistrsko delo)
Abstract
V magistrskem delu so predstavljeni paliativna oskrba, njen razvoj, seznanjenost ljudi o paliativni oskrbi, hospic in umiranje.
Rezultate raziskave smo analizirali in predstavili s pomočjo računalniških programov Microsoft Office Word 2013, Microsoft Office Excel 2013 in IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0.
Rezultati raziskave.
Sklep.

The thesis presents palliative care, the development of palliative care, people's knowledge about palliative care, hospice and dying. In the empirical part it was a goal to determine whether people are familiar with palliative care, and whether people are of the opinion that there is too little discussion about death. It also was intended to determine whether palliative care increases quality of life.
The methodology of the survey. Quantitative research methodology using a questionnaire with 12 closed questions was used. The study involved 50 random people. The results of the survey were analyzed and presented using computer programs Microsoft Office Word 2013, Microsoft Office Excel 2013 and IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0.
The results of the survey. The questionnaire was in majority answered by older people, whiere most of them (42%) believe that as a community, we are not talking enough about death and dying. Most respondents (40%) had never heard of palliative care, 30% of respondents believe they have an insignificant idea of what palliative care is, 20% of respondents considers that they have a sufficiently precise idea of what palliative care is, 10% respondents have heard only about the name. 53% of respondents believe that palliative care allows patients with incurable disease to live active lives, 29% believe that palliative care improves the quality of life of the sick person.
Conclusion. Talk about palliative care and raising awareness among people should begin in a hospital, because it offers important knowledge for the dying and their families. If raising awareness is started in health facilities, people would be better informed, while they would take information with more confidence. |
