Abstract

Spletna družbena omrežja so vtkana v vsakdan posameznika. Število uporabnikov se iz dneva v dan povečuje, prav tako število aplikacij povezanih z njimi ter možnosti uporabe le-teh. Uporaba spletnih družbenih omrežij v namen zaposlovanja doživlja vse večji razcvet, vse več podjetij ter posameznikov prepoznava možnosti uporabe spletnih družbenih omrežij v namen kadrovanja ter iskanja zaposlitve. V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali, kako se spletna družbena omrežja kot velik vir informacij uporabljajo v namen zaposlovanja v podjetjih in med posamezniki v Sloveniji. V teoretičnem delu najprej govorimo o pridobivanju kadrov in načinih iskanja zaposlitve, nato predstavimo najpomembnejša spletna družbena omrežja. V nadaljevanju predstavimo pridobivanje kadrov preko spletnih družbenih omrežij ter iskanje zaposlitve s pomočjo le-teh. V nalogi torej obravnavamo povezanost spletnih družbenih omrežij s procesom zaposlovanja in procesom kadrovanja. V empiričnem delu so prikazani rezultati raziskav o uporabi spletnih družbenih omrežij v namen zaposlovanja v podjetjih ter rezultati raziskav o uporabi le-teh pri iskanju zaposlitve. Rezultati raziskave, izvedene med podjetji, so pokazali, da le-ta uporabljajo spletna družbena omrežja v namen kadrovanja, vendar sta njihova uporaba in znanje o tem, kako jih uporabiti v procesu kadrovanja, v veliki meri še pomanjkljiva, da bi lahko izkoristili vse možnosti, ki se kadroviku ponujajo pri uporabi spletnih družbenih omrežij. Rezultati raziskave, izvedene med uporabniki, pa dajo slutiti, da uporabniki razumejo uporabnost podatkov o njih samih, dostopnih na spletnih družbenih omrežij, vendar še premalo pazijo na podatke in vsebino, ki jo objavljajo. V primerjavi obeh raziskav je mogoče naslutiti, da uporabniki – potencialni iskalci zaposlitve - spletna družbena omrežja pri iskanju zaposlitve uporabljajo na bolj kompleksen način kot pa podjetja v procesu zaposlovanja.

Secondary abstract: Social network sites are weaved into an everyday life of an individual. The number of users is increasing day by day as well as the number of job applications linked to social network sites and the possibilities of using them. The use of social network sites for employment purposes is increasing in importance. More and more companies and individuals are becoming aware of how useful these sites are and what kinds of possibilities they offer in seeking employment and for recruitment purposes. In this thesis we are researching how social network sites in Slovenia are used as a big source of information by individuals and companies in the recruitment and employment seeking process. In the theoretical part we first discuss the recruitment and employment seeking process, than we introduce some of the most popular social network sites. We further discuss about employment seeking process and recruitment through social network sites. We than examine the connectedness of social network sites with employment seeking process and recruitment. In the empirical part we present the research results about the use of social network sites in recruitment and employment seeking process. The results of research applied among companies indicated that social network sites are used by the companies for recruitment purposes, however, they still do not have enough ability and the knowledge about how to use them in the recruitment process to be able to take the advantages of what social network sites offer to the recruiters. The results of research applied among users anticipate that the users are aware of the usefulness of the data about themselves, which are available on social network sites for the recruiter to see, but are still not careful enough about the data and contents that they share on these sites. The comparison of the results on both applied studies indicates that the users – potential employment seekers - use social network sites in employment seeking process in a far more complex way than the companies which recruit.
