diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Organizacija in management kadrovskih in izobraževalnih sistemov
Abstract

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER IN VIRTUAL TEAMS AT HEWLETT-PACKARD ENTERPRISE |
Secondary abstract: |
Globally distributed virtual teams are something quite normal these days. They represent a response to the growing need for fast response of the market needs, lowering costs, and fast solutions to the complex organizational problems. Contact with people, sense of isolation, communication difficulties, motivation for work, and cultural differences are only a few challenges faced by virtual teams. Knowledge sharing is a key activity for successful knowledge management. Therefore, every company should also be able to motivate employees to transfer knowledge.
The diploma thesis deals with the transfer of knowledge in virtual teams. With that I wanted to show that in the teams operating highly virtually, effective transfer of knowledge is essential for high productivity and successfulness in performing tasks and long-term goals of the company.
As a part of the research, I conducted a survey among the employees who work predominantly in virtual teams. Their answers are in line with the theoretical findings, as they emphasize the importance of trust, effective use of modern work tools, good communication, and coordinated actions between the members of the virtual team. |
