Abstract

Uspeh pri študiju je odvisen od različnih dejavnikov. Poleg prevladujočih, ki so inteligenca in sposobnost dojemanja, delovne navade, predhodno znanje, nadarjenost in dojemljivost posameznika na določenem področju, so prisotni še manj pomembni dejavniki, kot so privzgojena stališča in prepričanja osebe, izoblikovana osebnost, nazori, religijski in etični pogledi ter psihološki dejavniki. V tem diplomskem delu smo se osredotočili na osebnost študenta in kako le-ta vpliva na njegov uspeh pri študiju. Diplomo smo razdelili na teoretični in praktični del. V teoretičnem delu so opisani psihološki dejavniki, za katere menimo, da v zaznavni meri vplivajo na uspeh pri študiju. Osebnost si lahko predstavljamo kot množico značilnosti, po katerih se posamezniki razlikujejo med sabo. Vseh značilnosti posameznik ne razvije sam. Pridobi jih iz okolja, s priučenimi vedenjskimi vzorci in pred definiranimi lastnostmi. V tej diplomski nalogi smo se osredotočili na opredelitev tipov osebnosti in slednje poskušali povezati z učno uspešnostjo. V praktičnem delu smo izvedli raziskavo, s katero smo preverili vnaprej zastavljena raziskovalna vprašanja in jih kasneje analizirali. Dokazali smo povezanost tipov osebnosti z uspešnostjo študija. V povprečju imajo posamezniki s prevladujočo osebnostjo sangvinika boljše učne rezultate (višjo povprečno oceno). Pri povezavi tipov osebnosti z učnim uspehom v srednji šoli, smo povezavo odkrili le pri osebnosti kolerika. Ugotovili smo, da ima posameznik, ki je izrazit kolerik, slabši učni uspeh. Preverili smo tudi povezanost učnega uspeha v srednji šoli s povprečno študijsko oceno, vendar statistične povezanosti nismo odkrili.

Secondary abstract: The success of studying depends on many factors – the intelligence and ability of perception, working habits, previous knowledge and talent in particular fields, have important influence on academic progress. There are also less obvious factors, such as learned characteristics, personality, attitudes, religious and ethical views and psychological factors. In this thesis, we focused on the personality of the student and how can the personality itself affect the success of their studies. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the psychological factors, which we believe have influence on the success of the studies. The personality can be observed as a set of characteristics by which individuals differ from one another. The individual does not develop all the characteristics by himself. He gets them from the environment with the learned behavioral patterns and predefined characteristics. In our thesis, we focused on the definition of personality types and have tried to connect them with the academic achievement. In the practical part, we performed a research, with which we tested research questions. We have proven the connection of personality types with the succes with studies. On average, the individuals with dominant sanguine personality have a higher average grade. In corelation between personality types and school performance in high school, the influence was discovered only in choleric personalities. The more an individual is choleric, the poorer academic achievement he will achieve. We also checked the relationship between success of studies in high school and the average grade, but we did not find statistical associations.
